Free Donut in February from Krispy Kreme
Posted on: 2017-02-03 9:43 AM Krispy Kreme wants you to love them for more than just hot, glazed doughnuts. So they're reinventing the chain's signature coffee blends. Oh, and giving away free doughnuts to customers willing to give it a try.
Starting Monday, February 6, customers who purchase any size of the new coffee will receive a free Original Glazed doughnut. The promotion runs through the end of the month.
The chain's two new blends sound like they're named after the qualities of a Washington lobbyist: Smooth and Rich. Both are made from 100 percent Arabica beans.
The coffee experts at Krispy Kreme describe the Rich blend as a "medium-bodied blend of Central, African and Indo-Pacific beans, creating a lush, well-rounded flavor and satisfying finish." The Smooth blend has a "light acidity to balance the sweetness and with nuttiness and citrus notes to complement the treats."
"Our new Smooth coffee is the only coffee designed to be the perfect complement to Krispy Kreme’s freshly-made Original Glazed doughnuts and other treats. It’s a combination that’s deliciously inseparable, and we’re proud to say that our coffee is now doughnut-worthy," said Jackie Woodward, Chief Marketing Officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Rival doughnut chain Dunkin' Donuts made coffee the core of its marketing campaign about 10 years ago with great success. Now you can find the iconic orange and pink Dunkin' Donuts logo on coffee bags and K-cups in most grocery stores across the country.
Krispy Kreme's coffee is also available for sale in stores and online.
