Christmas Shopping Coffee Style

'Tis the season to be Jolly...or stressed because you have too many gifts to buy and not enough time.  We would like to lighten your burden by making a few suggestions for the coffee lovers in your life.  Based on my own personal experiences and preferences I tend to like to give and recieve gifts that are either useful or a luxury but in both cases they should be things that you know the person would like but they might not buy for themselves.  Here are our suggestions for coffee themed gifts for every budget category. 

Gift Cards
You can never go wrong with a coffee gift card.  They are a great stocking stuffer or a small token for those people that you want to get a gift for but can't get something too personal. Most major chains offer them and they are available in racks across most cities.  I'd like to suggest that you check out whether or not you local indiependant coffee shop has a gift card program.  That will show a little more thought on your part and help out a small local business.

As we say in Canada -Travellers 
The rest of the world calls them"ToGo Cups". Whatever you call them Everyone needs a good refillable mug.  You can spend a little as $10 and as much as $50 for some deluxe ones.  We'd like to suggest that you look at the KeepCup or something from OneVessel Drinkware. Both products are durable attractive and represent good value for your money.  While the Keep Cup is strictly for Coffee, One Vessel offers "Travellers" for both hot and cold beverages.

An Espresso Machine
Nothing says Christmas morning better than a great cup of coffee and some fresh baked goods while we bask in the joy of our faimilies.  For real afficiandos of coffee a espresso machine can turn that family gathering into a luxurious family gathering.  In our opinion you can go wrong in looking at the Oracle from Breville or the Vivalidi II form La Speziale.  Both of them are high end qualtiy machines that will enhance the look of your kitchen and the qualtiy of your coffee experience.

French Presses
The Epsro Press is an elegant stainless steel french press that is also an insulated caraff. I personally own one of these and it's perfect for those special weekend coffee moments where you want to laze around with the newspaper without having to worry about your second cup getting cold or burned.

Coffee Drinks
If your looking for something consumable you can never go wrong with a new mug and a bag of someones favorite roast.  Starbucks and Second Cup have their Christmas blends on sale and a bag of fresh roasted coffee is a great gift. If you want something a little more exciting I've recently reviewed Blender Boyz Cappuccino Mix and I was impressed.
